More than 175 STEM professors call on manufacturers to embrace repair for future of technology
More than 175 STEM professors representing top universities across the country and the world have signed a letter calling on legislators to support right to repair reforms. The letter emphasizes the importance of repair in inspiring young engineers, innovating solutions to difficult problems, and creating a more ecological future.
“Not all innovation takes place in formal conditions like the classroom or the lab. A robust repair ecosystem helps people understand and improve technologies and leads to new innovations,” the letter reads.
